The traceability tools enabled by Artificial Intelligence (AI) raise the standards of competition, transparency and compliance when applied in public procurement and tendering processes, as they make this vital commercial process more transparent and streamlined.
Just one example to quantify the benefits of this implementation are the figures that the National Economic Prosecutor's Office revealed in its "Market study on public procurement", where it showed losses in public spending of around 10% in inputs and services for the State, in addition to other shortcomings such as the lack of openness to bidders (through agreements that exclude them) and technical specifications that direct results.
This shows how much an industry can save by incorporating artificial intelligence platforms into its industrial procurement and tendering processes. Thanks to the control and analysis of information, purchasing companies can access a large pool of suppliers that compete on a level playing field. In this way, technology becomes an ally to stop and prevent fraud or collusive behaviour that in the long run is highly costly for the business.
