Tendering platform opens to local SMEs in Puerto Montt

The bidding platform AQmarket and the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Tourism of Puerto Montt signed an alliance that will open the doors of e-commerce to the members of the Guild. These are mainly small and medium-sized companies in the area.

The alliance was presented to members at a meeting held at the Guild's headquarters by the Chamber's president, Carlos Stange, and the partner of the AQmarket tendering platform, Felipe Manterola.

"This was a long awaited goal for us. This effort points in the direction of being able to help our partners in some way to get into e-commerce. This is a new reality, a new way of doing business. And it goes in the direction that every merchant is going to have to opt for," said the president of the Puerto Montt Chamber of Commerce, Carlos Stange.

"Today there are 26 companies on the AQmarket tender platform. There are practically all the salmon farming companies, mitigiculture companies, fishing companies and food plants. We are growing towards the eleventh, twelfth and eighth regions. Therefore, through the portal, business opportunities are opening up for local suppliers. Now they can enter other regions where they don't usually have a presence," added Felipe Manterola.

This is something that the salmon industry has pursued a lot, so we hope that this can contribute in that direction," said Felipe Manterola.
